Name
Rebecca Hickey
Biography
Rebecca Hickey started singing in her local church choir at the age of five which fostered an enduring passion for sacred choral music, which is good as she spends much of her time singing it! As well as being a long-standing member of TONUS PEREGRINUS, she sings with the early music vocal ensemble Stile Antico, taking Renaisssance polyphony all over Europe, the Americas and Asia.  Her solo rendition of Pérotin’s Beata Viscera on TONUS PEREGRINUS’ album Sacred Music from Notre-Dame Cathedral was showcased on BBC Radio 3’s CD Review, and now has over 3 million listens on Spotify. Becky studied English Language and Linguistics at the University of York which perhaps led to her obsession with cryptic crosswords. Her other passions include baking, playing the viola in her local chamber orchestra and walking her dog Gus! She has two (technically adult….) children with husband Alex.
